Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I finished the Golden Deer story. The final battle was amazing. Overall, this story is much more complete than Crimson Flower.
I still stand with Edelgard, but Golden Deer is the best house with the best plot.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Just finished the Blue Lions story.
Now I'm going to do the final route.... and...
...time to brainwash the students into joining the house using my 53,900 renown and buff myself up to crazy levels! And then spend the entire first phase in the SPORTING GEAR! MUAHAHAHAHAHA.
...I need a hobby. ._. I'm at 117 hours. Suffice to say I've gotten my money's worth with this game.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
The only thing I don't like so far that they had in the past few Fire Emblems is a "post-game". I mean that theres no point where the game just stops and you can do all the side missions and DLC and stuff at your own leisure instead of being forced along on a time limit.
And I don't care if there are better mages (Lysithea, Dorothea), I will use my Dark Knight Annette every run through.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
The nicest part of 3H so far is that I can finally play Byleth as asexual and not get punished by losing characters or paralogues.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
They're generally bad in the early game, except to make your tankiest unit tankier, because the extra speed matters more than defense. Later on you might have enough Strength to not get penalized, but by then you have a lot of cooler accessories, so eh

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
On only play on easy because I enjoy the feeling of steam rolling through enemy armies with my home grown God units. The epilogues don't do an adequate job of representing the legends that my students become.
Plus all I want to do is see every story in the game. The Blue Lions left me with soooooooooooooo many unanswered questions. Who are the creepy people from the darkness? Who is Byleth? Why does he/she/it have the Crest of Flames? Why is there a cutscene for Seiros and Nemesis in the beginning of the game and it's almost never referenced again? Why is Geralt afraid of Rhea?

Spoiler.
The game is too damn long to play on harder difficulties.- I am nobody

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
So I decided to try out the Byleth-only run while I was stuck on planes all day today. I went from NG+ (but only used it to max out swords and leadership) and managed to make it to Part 2 of the Church route in about two hours. I got close to dying a couple times, but only had to rewind once so far.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
^Any reason that you decided to do the same route you played the first time?

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I'm skipping all the cutscenes and dialogue, so I don't want to do new content.
This happened mostly because I was bored on a 9 hour flight and partly because AGDQ has an any% run that's about 90 minutes. Wanted to see how fast I could do it without any prep, although NG+ obviously makes it not comparable.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
I mean, you could make NG+ a separate category, be the only person who runs it, get WR by default, ???, profit!

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses
You don't see to be able to change Byleth's appearance in NG+, either, which is criminal.
I've also just confirmed that there are no Church of Seiros NG+ runs, so I'm about to be a speedrunning champion.
