Aw man, I still can't play as an animal? :(

Oh well, I'll just have to settle for making my villager look like the guests from Gregory Horror Show.

Hi everyone this is the Animal Crossing: New Horizons thread now

The timing of this game’s release could not have been more perfect. I’m having a blast with Optimism Simulator 2020 and I’m just a few hours in.

I named my town Isle Vigif and my character’s name is Emil. Love you all <3

all my town name ideas were 11 characters excactly so i ended up naming it Bramble as a subtle nod to DKC2.

also i really love the passport titles you can make. very "dark souls message system" levels of comedy.

I felt so tempted to name my town "Piss Bagel".

Idk if I'm missing something but collecting iron is a pain. It took me like two hours of smacking stones. Also, do the stones respawn or something? I accidentally smashed one with my peach muscles and I feel like it's back but I'm not sure if it's the same rock...

^Rocks respawn overnight, but in a different spot. And only one re-spawns per day, so if you smash 2 you'll have to wait 2 days to get them both back.

HOT ROCK TIPS: Dig three holes behind you before shoveling the rock, so that way you don't get knocked back too far. This helps you get 8 resources from every rock every time. Nook Miles Tickets are great for this.

I'm Callister from Halenui.

Also, in case you don't know, you can make QR codes to scan custom designs into the game.

If there is one thing this game really REALLY needs it's this.

Isabelle's announcements were probably the least bothersome of all the repeated dialogue, tbh.

Yeah i really like the museum and the whole seasonal donation thing.

I like animal crossing just because its a great time waster tbh. No games to play or shows to watch? Animal Crossing. Watching The Office for the 1500th time? Animal Crossing. TV too bright for your partner sleeping? Animal. Crossing.

If Isabelle didn't inject herself into every play session to talk about inane nonsense....

Seriously just have her only appear if someone's staying, an event is happening, a wandering visitor is here (...and stuck on an area you need a ladder. How the heck did you get there Daisy Mae?), or if it's someone's birthday.

If all she has to talk about is that she lost her sock or some soap opera for the umpteenth time, Isabelle should not appear and should only say that when you talk with her.
