What disappoints me is the jail which I think could have looked like a dungeon... and the car... not sure what to suggest for that. The police-dude could have been a guard... :D

Standard Monopoly practice. There are some things they refuse to change for the sake of branding. Jail, Free Parking, and the Policeman are a few. Also the color of the denominations of money.

It seems that Jails in the Zelda universe are remarkably easy to escape, which might hurt that mechanic a little.

^Roll doubles, pay, or wait 3 turns. Pretty easy to escape.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I used to love playing monopoly, though it has been many years since I played it. I'm not sure I've played it since the SNES days.
Competition is a good thing. It's a chance to crush people.

Nobody likes playing with me because I take it seriously, play like a businessman. Everyone just wants to teamup if they're a couple or trade for fun.

I love teaming up, it sets me above the others playing, and typically only leaves one valid threat to my victory.

^ But it's not a rational course of action. Often it leaves two super powers to fight it out, whereas otherwise it's mostly survival of the fittest. Unless you plan to stab them in the back prior to that, which would be good, but would probably piss people off. Sounds great, actually.

Like most franchise tie-ins for Monopoly, the art design really looks dialed-in and is just cobbled together piecemeal from pre-existing assets. I could build this with Photoshop in under an hour and get better results. That glow around the OoT Link in the middle is both as obvious as it is tasteless.

If you want a Zelda Monopoly board for christmas or something, Hjots, just say so. We'll get an overlay printed for this one and keep the shiny metal bits or something.

Your best bet for canon is checking the rulebook. Maybe a tidbit is there, hidden.

I am not surprised at those railroads. I even guessed them months ago. XD

Although those are the most memorable vehicles, IMO. For either good or bad reasons depending who you ask.
What's the matter, scared?
