I did it with Polteageist, Corviknight, Dubwool, Cramorant, Barraskewda, and Flygon in order of importance. Flygon was super under-levelled and the other last two apparently have crap IVs.

I don't like any of the starter final evolutions and my team certainly wasn't hurting for physical attackers.

Fair enough. I liked Cinderace a lot, but Inteleon and Rillaboom both are just OK.

Among the starters' final forms I think the design for Rillaboom is the best one, despite that Super Saiyan 3 hairlock. I think Cinderace is surprisingly bad though, I'm not sure what I expected but it wasn't a very human looking fusion between Naruto & Buster Bunny who seems to be a soccer player or something.

Phil Kongllins Rillaboom looks a lot better without the drum sticks. Still my favorite of the three though.

^^Cinderace looks just OK until you see its killer animations, and then it all makes sense

Personally, I love Cinderace's design. Rillaboom isn't too bad either.

Sobble Squad got done dirty on that front though.

Inteleon is cool because Sobble is 007 in the UK-inspired region and he evolves into a chameleon spy

Honestly, after playing through the game, Inteleon ended up growing on me despite me hating his design when it was initially leaked.

There is a song/theme in this game where there is a few seconds during the song i am reminded of twilight town from KH2s theme. Please tell me I'm not crazy.

edit*found it

start around 13 second on both videos

Also, Axew Island is a nightmare place where no man should venture. Giant teddy bears and muscle heads chase you around a patch of grass like psychopaths.

Y'all ready for EXPANSION PASS?

Spoilers ahead from today's Direct:
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX!
  • Sword and Shield Expansion Pass! $30 for two expansions, one in June and one in Fall. No third game this generation, but these expansions do look like they're packing a lot.
  • Expansions have new areas to explore, new characters, tons of new clothing options, even brand new Pokemon.
  • Expansions are also going to bring over 200 NatDex Pokemon to the table!
  • Expansion 1: Isle of Armor (June 2020) - The theme is Growth
  • Expansion 2: The Crown Tundra (Fall 2020) - The theme is Exploration
  • Pokemon Home releasing in February
  • New characters: Mustard (new mentor), new rivals Klara and Avery (Sword/Shield dependent)
  • New legendary for Isle of Armor: Kubfu (Fighting-type) which evolves into Urshifu, which has two forms: Single-Strike (Fighting/Dark) and Rapid-Strike (Fighting/Water). Urshifu has Gigantamax forms
  • New Bike looks, and customizable bike gear
  • Returning: Apricorns, EXP charm, Move tutors
  • New legendary for Crown Tundra: Calyrex - Psychic/Grass
  • New co-op mode: Underground Pokemon dens, where you can find legendaries from past games--with possible Gigantamax forms
  • Software update later today that introduces Klara and Avery--and in which you can get a Galarian Slowpoke.
  • Galarian Slowpoke evolves into Galarian Slowbro via an item in Isle of Armor, and into Galarian Slowking via an item in Crown Tundra

List of returning Pokemon I saw scattered throughout the Direct:
Regi trio, and NEW Regis
Galarian Slowpoke
Talonflame
Volcarona
Seadra
Dedenne
Venusaur and Blastoise (with Gigantamax forms!)
Gigantamax versions of the Galarian starters
Aurorus
Nidorino
Spheal
GALARIAN ARTICUNO, ZAPDOS, MOLTRES
Garchomp
Lycanroc

So they did cut Pokemon just to sell them back. Will this make the CU Podcast's "Scumbag Seller of the Week"?

The Pokemon aren't behind a paywall. They can be freely transferred or traded to the base game.

This is no different than Gen III when many Pokemon weren't catchable in the Hoenn games (RSE) but could be traded over from the Kanto games (FR/LG) with no problem.

I'm still kicking myself for never playing FRLG. My stupid child brain was like, "Why would I play that when I still have my copy of Red?"
