I haven't played Street Fighter in a while, but there's no proper version of SF2 with a player base anyway.

I'm kinda playing Ys VIII and Valhalla (the bar simulator visual novel). They're alright. Music is fantastic in both.

The local game shop had a social media contest I won, so I just picked up RDR2 for $10. Still might wrap up Divinity 2: Original Sin first, though. That's a good game, but I've not made time for gaming much recently.

I always wanted to play Mr. Driller and found it in a retro store for the PS1. I played the hell out of it. So much fun. So addictive.

I've been trying Koi. It's one of those artsy, relaxing type of games such as Flower and Flow. I like it but I can't relax so the effect is a bit lost on me.

Probably going to give God of War another shot now that it's on PS Now. Unfortunately they announced that right before I started traveling, so won't get the chance to play anything until next week.

Trails of Cold Steel III just came out, so working on that. Way too early to say much about it other than that I'm in love with the town music and that the they've finally replaced the god-awful card minigame from 1 & 2 with a new one that seems legitimately good.

Playing Digimon Cyber Sleuth and Gravity Rush. Both are pretty good so far.

Cyber Sleuth was easy for a large part of it especially if you're aware of what's coming and have weaknesses ready to exploit, aside from one type of boss that shows up a few times. But now that we've crossed an important story beat, bosses are getting bulkier. Time will tell if I get passed by or not as a result.

Gravity Rush is weird in its own respect. I don't think I can get used to the controls and moves of the game, but I can get capable at it. I'm nearing the end game and its fun so far but I tend not to play it too often. I'm wondering about some spirit I've seen a couple times and if I have to go back to past areas in order to find more of her somewhere.

^ Are you playing Gravity Rush on PS4? It controlled really well on Vita, although not necessarily intuitively.

^^ Controls aren't really a problem, so much as it being me unable to grasp the mechanics of everything. They're fine.

About to be playing Shovel Knight: King of Cards. I suspect that this will be my least liked campaign (Shovel > Plague > Torment (?) > King). Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised, though. I didn't notice before, but when did they add all of this bizarre pronoun stuff? I don't remember it being there when I first played the game...

EDIT: Yep, this is by far the weakest campaign of the game. King Knight's controls are simply awful and unintuitive and the crappy card game is too prominent. Still, it's pretty good anyway.

Finished King of Cards; I ended up liking it more and more as I played, though if I couldn't have abused the bubble relic as much as I did then I'd probably have given up long before the end.

I still think the card game is a bit janky, bosses are unbalanced (piss easy or too hard), and a few overly gimmicky, annoying levels/sections drag the pacing down.

I didn't complete the game 100%, missing plenty of cards and Trophies, but I got every Medal (cheated for the puzzle medals, IDGAF). I almost never do that kinda thing, so it speaks to the quality here imo. Too bad there's no more campaigns coming, they should make one for every Knight.

Probably going to start Judgement when I get back. Also flipflopping between eBaying Control like I'd plan or giving it another chance now that it picked up quite a few GotY awards. I'm sure not seeing it, but maybe it gets a lot better?

^ From what I understand, the appeal of Control is in its aesthetics and world building much more so than its gameplay. Though apparently the late-game power ups are very satisfying even in that regard.

The aesthetics I get (although the PS4 version has an incredibly ugly blur over everything), but the worldbuilding didn't seem like anything special from what I played.

The bureaucracy of the paranormal, I think, is what most people like. The juxtaposition of boring office life vs. supernatural calamity. X-Files-iness.

I did end up giving it another chance. I'm still not completely sure about it, mostly because there's *a lot* of very okay combat, but there's more to appreciate about the atmosphere after the first hour.

I only ever played Crash Bandicoot as a kid via demos. I liked it just fine but I liked almost anything. Giving it a shot now, it is a lot rougher than Mario or Sonic's first run. I'm not sure I will finish it. I remembered even then that the camera was trash and it certainly hasn't improved, it is such a bad perspective and pits are way more difficult to pass than they should be. I can see why Crash faded away until the remakes.
