DZ rediscovers the lost art of spriting

OK so over the last couple of years I've made a handful of sprite stuff (mostly reshading existing sprites but a couple new things too). Everything's gonna be 2x size for increased visibility:

Image
So this one's actually a few years old, but it's Walter White from Breaking Bad, in various appearances from the series, made from Mega Man's NES sprites. It's not NES palette-accurate, but I made it with like, perler art in mind.

Image
Here's a sprite of Proto Man from Mega Man 10. I thought it was a cool pose so I decided to shade it and maybe make it look cooler by adding some light. I don't remember how I came up with the colors for this but wanna say it's vaguely MM8-inspired.

Image
It's Jigglypuff! I made the lineart completely from scratch, so it's not the best, but I think it came out somewhat decent.

Image
Delores Edmund from Thimbleweed Park in the style of Maniac Mansion NES! The palette is from Dave's sprite in that game. I know logically there should be "walking left" sprites since her design is asymmetrical, but I figure an actual NES game wouldn't bother (also, I was lazy).

Image
Punk from Mega Man, also shaded. I'm not crazy about this one, I think it came out kinda pillow-y, and the colors aren't particularly exciting. Still had fun making it, though.

Image
I just got done making this one 20 minutes ago, it's the cast of Sonic Advance 2/3 with a similar style of shading to Sonic Mania! I deliberately made Tails and Cream have less contrast, because I would imagine their fluffier fur compared to the other characters would make them a bit less shiny.

Anyway uhhhhhhhh sprite work is actually really fun and chill! I like being able to work on something where I can actually listen to music that isn't being made in real time.

Jigglypuff looks violated. Hypno's therapy may be required.
