That Facebook Portal commercial is depressing.

The Muppets have drifted apart.

I find it very interesting that Nintendo seems to have borrowed elements from SMBSS, like Toad's raspy voice or Luigi's cowardly personality. Both of those things seem to have been introduced right around the beginning of the Gamecube era, too.

They should incorporate other aspects of the Super Show into the video games. Like the princess's massive Popeye forearms, or King Koopa's foot-licking fetish.

Wasn't Toad raspy on N64 in the Mario Party games? Luigi was also depicted as cowardly on N64, in his diary entries in Paper Mario. That's pretty much the generation where the characters started becoming better fleshed out imo, the N64.

Well, that's sort of happening, and it looks kinda neat, though I'm only vaguely nostalgic for the show (I was more into the Sonic cartoon):

Toad's voice sounded like this in Mario Party. The earliest thing I can find resembling Toad's current voice is Mario Tennis, though not nearly as raspy as it would become in Super Mario Advance.

As for Paper Mario, I was considering that as being early Gamecube-era since it came out the same year as Luigi's Mansion (which is even teased in Luigi's diary).

^ Yeah, definitely seems raspier in Mario Tennis but not full-on cancer throated like later on. Good point about Luigi's Mansion.

I only played Mario Tennis a handful of times, it was good though. It's also the only one aside from Aces I've tried, which is kinda worse imo.

So... what's with packaged salads saying they come with chicken but then it's just a pinch of pink dust? There's like a pound of grass here and a salt packer's worth of chicken. It sucks
