If there's one thing I'd like Nintendo to do it's put NGC games on Switch. SSBU is fun casually but the physics just don't feel right for competitive play, Melee doesn't have that annoying dodge roll degradation, and you can actually make it back to a platform safely because of invincibility; now vultures just sit back and wait for you to grab a ledge helplessly like they're recreating a scene from f***ing Lion King or something.

Yeah, I mean ideally we'd get it in HD, but I'd even take a basic port at this point.

^^ No Marths, and it sounds like I don't want to.

^ It certainly doesn't feel like it. The only annoying thing was grabbing the edge so nobody else can, but at least if you grabbed it you were invincible. It's almost pointless to be allowed to grab it a second time in SSBU.

i cant really complain about the edgeguarding in melee since i play a character that's virtually impossible to gimp

i get what you mean about ultimate though, it feels like its a lot easier to get ledge-trapped in that game compared to sm4sh.

So why is that anyway? It really does seem like SSB4 didn't have that problem. It's been a while since I've played SSB4 so I can't really compare them but I definitely don't remember having as much trouble with the ledge.

It doesn't help that my main (Samus) feels like she has a harder time reaching the ledge again after peaking up and firing a fully charged blast. Feels like she's pushed further back or has more backward momentum after firing now, which further sours my opinion of the ledge game in SSBU.

Is there ever a reason with the smash games? Wavedashing was an accident. Edge guarding was an exploit.
