http://smbhq.com/

Not sure exactly when it happened. I was just there a couple days ago and everything was still up, but now its all gone.

Even though the site hasn't been updated since 2011, it's still sad to see it slip away. Pour one out for our homies Bill and Fred.

If not for SMBHQ, I wouldn't be here today.
...Here on VGF, I mean. I'd probably still be alive.

And remember,....

I think it might be a domain name registration issue?

The good news is you can still get to it through the Internet Wayback Machine.

(wishes to know the status of "SMBHQ"; remembers having enjoyed some of its contents from years past (specifically years in which it was often amended with new content))

Around the mid-2000s it was being updated less frequently but still active. There were attempts in the late-2000s to try and revive the site but they never quite stuck and the last true update was in 2011.

NC is a similar story; towards the end of its life, Metal Man took the reigns and did actually breathe a bit of new life into the comic, allowing fan-submitted shorts, starting a new series, and even finishing NC/SSS Mach 2. Then ultimately it was overtaken by poker ads and also stopped being updated in 2011.
