Fighter's Battleclub

A battleclub to attempt more activity here; no plot or anything. Just make a character and get to beating up other people really.

Stats
Out of 300
HP - Health Points; determines how much damage you can take before dying.
MP - Magic Points; used in spells and not much else really.

Out of 200
Strength - Determines how much damage you do on physical attacks.
Defense - Reduces damage recieved from physical attacks; used in some defensive abilities
Intelligence - Determines how much damage you do on magical attacks.
Spirit - Reduces damage recieved from magic attacks; used in some some defensive/healing spells.
Agility - Determines battle order and also adds to accuracy and evasion somewhat.

Abilities - Physical or magical abilities; can be almost anything. You may have as many abilities as you want, but they'll all start out at level 0 (Abilities have levels from 0 to 10). To level up an ability you'll need to pay AP equal to the number of the level you're trying to reach (1 for Lv1, 2 for Lv2,...) and you can't skip any levels either.

To make it simpler, the total AP cost for each level: 1AP for level 1, 3AP for level 2, 6AP for level 3, 10AP for level 4, 15AP for level 5, 21AP for level 6, 28AP for level 7, 36AP for level 8, 45AP for level 9 and 55AP for level 10.

AP - Ability Points; can either be used to level up abilities or can be used to increase your stats. 1AP is worth 10 HP or MP OR is worth 5 points to Strength, Defense, Intelligence, Spirit, or Agility.

You start with 10AP.

As an adult of 18 years of age, Blake finally left his home in search of work that would challenge his skills and wits to the maximum, and the battle club was the perfect way of doing so.

Abilities
Physical:
- Block- Blake can defend against an oncoming physical attack to either completely block or reduce damage. He can attack normally and activate this ability to block the next enemy's attack in one turn, but cannot use one of his special abilities and block in a single turn.
- Cleave- Cleave initially only deals his standard attack's damage. However, after each consecutive use of cleave, his attack becomes more and more powerful.
- Charge- Electrically charges Blake's axe for additional power. While it takes one turn to charge the axe, his next attack has increased power and is capable of lowering, if not breaching an enemy's defense completely.
- Ground Force- Blake can smash his axe in the ground which cause electric sparks to disperse around Blake. These sparks damage nearby enemies and are capable of throwing enemies off balance.
- Gut Lodge- At the expense of his axe if successful and the risk of failure, Blake can lodge his axe deep within his enemy to deal a large amount of damage. A finisher move that is ideal when the enemy is weakened.

I'll put 2 AP in magic, 1 AP in strength, 3 AP in block, 3 AP in cleave, and 1 AP in gut lodge,

-Barrier: L2 Absorbs all physical and magical damage. Breaks once it takes a certain amount of HP (based on the level its currently at)
-Heal: L1 Heals HP damage to Tiran or an Ally. Can be split among multiple allies at a weaker effect for no extra cost, or a full strength heal for extra cost.
-Blast: L2 Tiran attacks the enemy with an invisible energy projectile for high damage. He can create multiple blasts for weaker effect at no extra cost, or create multiple full strength effects for extra cost. The amount of blasts he can split or create are dependant on skill level.
-Vanish: L1 Tiran dissappears from sight. Allows Tiran to escape or take a sneak attack on an enemy for extra damage. Tiran cannot be targetted by spells (although area of effect stuff still hits him) or attacks while invisible, although enemies may get lucky and hit him by attacking wildly. Attacking dispels the invisibility.
-Neutralize: L1 This has two options. The first is to neutralize all enemy magic in place
(beneficial spells cast on an enemy, or detrimental spells cast on an ally) The second is to neutralize an enemy's ability to cast spells, however this does not dispel spells already in place.

-- Abilities -- (Note - All percents/increases in damage are based off of current levels, if you want to see what I'm basing them off of then ask and I'll throw them in too. Also, as far as accuracy is concerned, even if something has 0% chance of working it generally increases if your agility is better than the person you're fighting.)

Block - Level 2 - Goes into a defensive stance; can be used after attacking, but not after special attacks. Gives a slight chance to completely block attacks (currently 10%) and a slightly better chance to reduce the damage by half (Currently 40%).

Cleave - Level 2 - A standard attack when first used. After the each use, the damage of the attack is increased (currently by x1.5) of the damage the last attack did but the accuracy of the attack is reduced by 5%. If Cleave does not hit or isn't used on the next turn its damage/accuracy returns to normal.

Charge - Level 0 - 20MP. Charges weapon with electricity to boost damage. Adds 15 damage (electric) to next attack and can sometimes cut (25%) or ignore enemy defenses (0%).

Ground Force - Level 0 - 10MP. Hits everyone in melee with a weak electric attack: (Intelligence - opponent's Spirit). Has chance of knocking everyone hit off balance (0%). Those off balance have a good chance of failing next action.

Gut Lodge - Level 1 - Has -25% Accuracy and if it hits deals (Str x2 - opponents defense) x2. If it fails nothing happens however.

Blast Sphere- Level 0. 40MP. Throws a sphere of magic at an enemy; has a chance of failling and becoming weaker. Deals ((Int x1.5) + 0 - opponents Spr.) Has a 30% chance to fail and deal half damage instead. Has 60% base accuracy.

Blizzard Bolt- Level 0. 20MP. A short ranged ice attack. Deals ((Int +30) - opponent's Spr.) Has 50% base accuracy.

[Activate The World for 10MP; then pay 20MP to skip a turn, up to 3 times before you need to recast it.]
Arcana XII - The Hanged Man: Level 2. Costs 10MP per set of knives; up to 2 sets can be formed. Each set of knives hits twice for (Intelligence + 40 - opponents Spirit)/4 damage and has 60% base accuracy to hit with each attack.
Arcana VI - The Lovers: Level 1. Costs 20MP. Strikes at opponent and steals some of their life; damage is based off of both Strength and Intelligence stats (+10); and is resisted by both Defense and Spirit together. Half of the damage dealt restores Diego's HP.

If Sage makes a topic, perhaps I'll pursue the army rpg I was originally aiming for. I have quite a bit of work done on it, I would just need to make some adjustments between races and add costs to everything.

Edit: Hey KB, I think you accidentally added 10 points to intelligence instead of 20 points in magic. I put 2 AP in magic.

Spell Barrier- Nina can Target herself or anyone else with an aura, Protecting that Targeted from being damage.

Apprentice Fireball- Nina creates a Small Fireball to throw at her enemy. Otherwise it is summoned like a normal fireball.

Blast Sphere- Nina creates a sphere of pure Magic to throw at her enemy. has a small chance of breaking apart and turning into small Spheres due to inexperiance.

Blizzard Bolt- Nina Fires a Lagged Line of Cold. Starts with a low accuracy rate and short range but both increase with Levels

Lightning Ray- Nina shoots a Ray of Lightning from her finger. Has a High Accuracy rate due to practice, but low damage.

Rock Throw- Nina throws a rock at the opponent. Takes a Turn to summon.





AP - 1 for Lightning Ray, 1 for Spell Barrier, 4 for Apprentice Fireball (to Lvl 2 >_>) 1 for Spirit, 1 for Defense, 1 for Strength, and 1 for Hp.

Wow... this place got really active, really fast.

Blake - I put 2 points into Int since you just said Magic. What did you mean by that exactly then?

Marth - Basically I just need you to fix a few things before I make your character.

Tazy -No, everything you did is fine. Mine might be wrong though. :/ Stats and stuff are a few posts up. (Maybe I should put them at the bottom of the first post instead). Also, if you want me to redo somethings about it let me know; I'm not too sure how to make/balance magic too much, especially when it comes to things at level 0.

Also, feel free to yell at me if I'm making stuff too confusing.

Okay; well... your stats and abilities are too high. You have 300 points for HP and MP, 200 for the rest of them; and 10AP to spend wherever. 1AP is equal to +10HP or MP, +5 to another stat; or for abilities. Abilities aren't 1 to 1 though; its 1AP for level 1, 3AP for level 2, 6AP for level 3, and 10AP for level 4.

Basically fix the stats and ability levels and you're in though.

Your stats are still too high technically. Its 200 and you have 250 points in them.

Abilities:

Impaler Lv2: Thezal quickly rears back his blade, then proceeds to run his opponent through, damaging them badly, maybe even weakening the aforementioned opponent's defenses, or on rare occasions, instantaneously knock them out. Takes a turn to prepare.

Air Blade Lv2: With a wave of his hand, Thezal creates two blades made out of air that fly at the opponent. While somewhat weak, they're highly accurate and may knock a person off their feet.

I'm gonna put two AP into Defense, another two in Intelligence, three into Impaler, and my last three into Air Blade.
