Share whatever you've been listening to lately... as long as it's from a video game.

This game had a killer soundtrack. I need to revisit it one of these days.

^^Ooh, yeah.

I like 'Um Jammer Lammy' better than 'Parappa'. 'Parappa' feels less polished, and Parappa himself is kind of an annoying twerp. Lammy is cool, and the UJL Master Onion song sounds awesome. Cool funky groove, right.

Somebody could do a dynamite mash-up of this and Studio Killers------'Eros and Apollo', I bet.

I'm not sure what was wrong with me when I first tried this game, but I'm glad I gave it a second chance, because "Persona but Etrian Odyssey" works exactly as well as it should.

Never realized I wanted someone to smash P3 and 4's soundtrack styles into eachother, either.

A YouTuber finally did the thing I was hoping someone would do: combine the Octopath character-specific boss intros with the boss battle themes. On the OST they're separate tracks and it's very underwhelming, but my man genodennis combined the tracks as you'd encounter them in-game, and they're all great. Example:

I'm all on that Octopath right now. Jules and InsaneintheRain have been making some excellent covers.

FFIV is far from my favorite game in the series, but there's no denying it has one of the best soundtracks.

In probably the least surprising twist of the year, it turns out that Octopath Traveler's soundtrack would've worked just as well 25 years ago.

Despite being approximately the 9 millionth Schala's Theme remix I've heard, this was pretty good.

Fact: the Super Nintendo version of Street Fighter II Turbo has the best version of the Street Fighter II soundtrack. The SNES sound chip was so much better than the competition. Seriously, even the arcade version of SFII can't compete. It just had more depth and a wider variety of sounds. Later versions of SFII didn't quite get it right.

check this friggin' thing out, it's so cool

Here's the video description, which is very worth reading:

Stickerbrush Symphony from Donkey Kong Country 2 restored to studio quality. This was made possible by locating the original audio samples used to create the soundtrack from the keyboard workstations they came from (such as the Korg Wavestation and Alesis HR16B) and combining them with the music instruction data ripped from the game, plus a little mixing and mastering magic to create what the track would have sounded like if the veil of 16-bit compression was lifted.

I finished this game recently. I think I might like it more than Hotel Dusk, the OST is mostly better at least. This song accompanies some of my favorite scenes in it.
