I was thinking about participating, but then he started tweeting slanderous takes about Terranigma and I'm mad at him

(but more seriously, Animal Crossing is definitely going to get the brunt of my gaming time in the coming days)

I actually feel like there's a pretty good lineup in the next few months. My switch is going to get some good use.

My work finally moved to a suggested WFH policy today, in effect until at least the 31st. Everyone was already doing that anyway, though, so not sure what's really changed.

Our department is weirdly trying to balance WFH and coming in as well as supporting the departments that are still coming in and those that have shifted to remote. It continues to be a ****.

Starting this week we are working from home 1 day, next week 2, the following week 3. Subject to change at a moment's notice because everything here is. I will say today has been better than before, even if I spent my entire morning walking people through VPN setup issues.

Was just informed the IRS moved both the filing and payment dates for taxes to July 15. This is a huge load off my mind, because I know I'm going to owe but I'll be able to afford to pay them by then.

I never don't owe. I don't owe very much, but I don't want to give the government an interest free loan. 3/4 of people should have filed at least a month ago, but this will be helpful to those who don't receive refunds.

Was missing one of my W-9s, which I'm told arrived while I've been out of town. Was originally just going to do everything all at once when I got back but now I at least have some breathing room.

This is slightly off topic but I was immensely relieved the need to report lack of health insurance covered was dropped this year. I was uninsured for most of last year (working retail, turned 26 so couldn't use my parents', took a while to study for A+ cert and find a new job), so I not only didn't have income but also was paying almost double for my meds with coupons instead of insurance and jus stopped going to the doctor for a while. I thought I was gonna owe taxes to top it off, so that was a huge relief.

Yeah NY is sending telling all non-essential business' to shut down now so that kind of sucks. Don't know how I'm going to finish this kitchen renovation so I can have a sink and a stove...kinda sucks. Been rough without it. Looks like I'm gonna be spending my nights at my parent's house.

As a side note, just because the feds have delayed does not mean the states have followed suit, though most are delaying and it would be logical if they just copy IRS policy.

They've shut down my office building. Word is there might have been a case on the 4th floor.

Dunno if NY is different than CA but last I checked in (it is constantly changing lol) hardware stores were considered under "essential" and permitted to stay open. Worth calling in?

Looks like the governor is drafting a stay-at-home order for my state. No details yet as to the duration or how strict the policy will be.
