This is a throwback to how I tried my best to collect every coin in the bonus zones of SMB1.

You have multiple chances, but can you meet the condition in just one lap?

  • New enemies Spike and Pokey.
  • New course elements Frozen Coin and P-Block.
  • Dash Block (SM3DW only).
  • Master Sword powerup (SMB only).
  • Ninji Speedruns.

This is so exciting. I finally get the Zelda 2 followup I've always wanted.

I'm really impressed and happy with the extent to which they took the Link costume, too. Bombs and arrows? That's so cool.

The final update is coming on Wednesday, and it's a big one:
  • New powerups for each style: Super Mario Bros. 2 Mushroom (SMB), Frog Suit (SMB3), Power Balloon (SMW), Super Acorn (NSMBWii), and Boomerang Flower (SM3DW).
  • Wearable powerups for SM3DW: Cannon Box, Propeller Box, Red POW Box, Goomba Mask, and Bullet Bill Mask.
  • All seven Koopalings, each with unique behavior.
  • Cursed Key, with Phanto.
  • Trampolines that are toggled with On/Off Switches.
  • Mechakoopas (including varieties that shoot missiles or lasers).
  • A fully-featured World Maker, with online sharing.
What an update, holy crap.

That's a pretty nice update. Did they ever add another game's style outside of what it launched with (SMB3, SMW, etc)?

This update looks in incredible. I will absolutely be booting SMM2 back up to see what people do with all these tools.

^They added 3D World in 2.
