Decent game, really made better by Nintendo's unwillingness to just carbon copy their games, since. I think it's definitely a solid thing and did much to address 3D game mechanics that even years later, still causes other developers to struggle. It would've been nice if I could've experienced it apart from the expectations I held for a sequel to Zelda 3, as much of what it did was side-step the gambit of attempting to realise the prior image of Hyrule. Still, it set the bar for adventure games in many ways, especially in environmental continuity and ambience.
I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying
