Excellent article by the folks down at Kotaku. Full of wonderful illustrations, and does a great job of connecting not just the subtle implications of Majora's Mask itself, but a lot of strands from across the Zelda multiverse in general. Must-read for any Zelda fan, especially MM Stans like myself.

Ooooh. It’s cool that they got a variety of artists to contribute to this. Not all of them are to my PERSONAL ELEVATED STANDARDS OF PERFECTION TM because I’m an elitist *******, but it gives it a variety in tone and style which is really cool.

...This reminds me about that video essay on MM i was gonna make and haven’t worked on the script for in like 6 months. Why am I like this.

There's a few art pieces in there that really struck a chord with me. This one was the first I really noticed as it has a vibe not dissimilar to some of the LttP guide's art, and shows an expert understanding of light:

I muttered 'light as a board, stiff as a feather' for 2 days straight and now I've ascended, ;aughing at olympus and zeus is crying
